Submission Instructions

FLAIR 2024

The deadline for abstract submission is May 12, 2024.  Authors will be notified of the outcome of the selection process for an oral (12+3 minutes) or poster contribution on or before June 07, 2024.

Post-deadline abstracts, if of high interest, will be considered for a limited number of presentations (principally in poster format).

Poster format is A0 portrait (vertical).

Please follow the following steps when submitting your abstract:

(A) If needed*, first create an author account (top-right of the screen, just below the FLAIR logo), then log-in.

*) If you have attended a previous "sciencesconf.org" conference (presumably in France) or used the French HAL open archive you may already posses an account associated with your email address, and the system may refuse to create a new account. If you forgot your username and/or password you should attempt to reset it.

(B) Download the Abstract Template in format .docx, .doc, or .odt. No editing of the abstract will take place after acceptation, other than simply truncating it to one page, so please follow the style guidelines in the template document when preparing your Abstract file! This pdf file can be used to check the correct appearance of the template in your editing software.

(C) Then go to the Abstract Submission page (not otherwise accessible) in the menu on the left. Here:

[1] On the first screen, enter the "Meta Data" for your Abstract. You will be asked to indicate a preference for either an oral or a poster presentation and your choice of one or more session topics. You may safely ignore the numbering of the sessions: Please submit to session no. 1.The organizers reserve the right to change these selections (in which case you will be notified at a later stage).

Industrial partners, please submit your company R&D abstract to "Industry Session 1".

[2] The second screen asks you to enter the author information. We suggest to check whether the author in question does not already appear in the database.

[3] The third screen gives you the opportunity to download (again) the template in Word format (.docx). Once your Abstract file in Word, LibreOffice, or PDF format has been prepared, you may upload the file here. Do not forget to hit the "Upload" button after browsing for the file on your local disk. Do not upload any supplementary material, as this will be ignored anyway.

[4] On the Overview screen, please check that all information appears correct, then submit.

If all is well, you will receive a confirmation email.

All auhtors, please check your submitted abstract for correct formatting. If you need / want to correct your already accepted abstract, please send an email to Erik Kerstel with a request to unlock your abstract for modification.
